Lovely to meet you.
If you haven’t guessed it by now, I’m pretty passionate about working with people in rural and regional Australia who want to see their business or organisation THRIVE and GROW.
I’ve combined my background in farming and rural life, with my skills and experience in graphic design, to streamline the work I deliver. So with my young family based on a farm in South Australia’s Mallee, and an adored pet sheep named Diamond, it’s no surprise that I’ve decided to move in this direction.
I legitimately care about the success of my clients. I don’t work for them – but with them. I work really hard, with an attention to detail, to create a visual brand and identity that relates to my clients’ ideal customers, captures their attention and send a strong message based on the product or service they deliver. My ultimate goal, and the greatest part of my job is to see my clients’ faces when I present them with the final designs.
Not only do I offer building websites or designing great brand elements for your, I also fully support you to help manage them long-term. That can be through helping with website hosting, domain registration and website maintenance, or professionally printing all your designs so everything looks beautiful
– and we can avoid the dull photocopy versions!!!
One of the loveliest pieces of feedback I get from my clients is that I “just get it”. That is, I can take a brief or in many cases, the problem, especially in the rural and agribusiness sector, and work with the client to create a solution – which results in something brilliant, beautiful and most importantly – effective!
A recent customer gave me this heart-warming feedback:
“Kylie’s genuine approach to the way she works with her clients is second-to-none. She really cares about Australia’s small rural businesses’ doing well – it shows in her work and the way she relates to her clients.”
Another beautiful testimonial was:
“Kylie is the triple threat. Not only does she have an incredible eye for design – but she also builds great relationships with her clients, AND she understands the farming sector! We’ve used a few marketing people before from the city and they just can’t relate to our audiences – so to have someone who ‘gets’ our customer demographic, has made a huge difference to improving our digital design elements.”
I have the kindest clients – But back to work!!!!!
So how did I get in to this field of work? Well, since high school I’ve always had a love for great design and landed a great opportunity to gain an apprenticeship in pre-press graphics. I loved every minute of those five years, which taught me everything about design, printing and working with clients. I gained a passion for the industry (and still love that unique smell of printer ink). From here, I went to work for an agency in Adelaide, helping manage some big accounts across the State, before I headed back to the country to move out to a farm with my husband (where we now live with our three kids, dogs and pet sheep ‘Diamond’, who now adorns the giant Karoonda Silo Art).
So now I’m doing my own thing, from the farm-house base (isn’t technology incredible) and after investing in a good coffee machine, I’ve never been happier.
It’s a bit crazy at times on the farm, where we run the two businesses (combining the colour and creativity of my design studio with a few thousand sheep and hundreds of acres of crops), but I have a dedicated team of people I work with to bring everything to life for you, my clients.
I also like to keep myself educated with the latest software and technology trends, taking online courses regularly and attending workshops across Australia. This also allows me to grow my network and meet people all around the world! I’m also a representative on a number of agricultural and rural committees which ensures I can help use my skills to support this industry and keep on top of what’s happening in the sectors I serve as well.
But importantly, like all my clients, I want to live life too – and so there’s nothing more I love, than movie nights with the kids and date nights with husband where we can enjoy a good scrub bonfire on a Sunday with marshmallows!
